Lucy's Blessing Weekend & Family Fun!

Because we had family visiting and stake conference in place of regular meetings, we decided to have Lucy's blessing in our home this past Sunday. I had just finished fixing her blessing dress a few days before since it mysteriously got a hole right in the front, so I was really glad to check that off the list. Lucy looked so angelic. Do you not agree?

We had a lot of people come support us

It wasn't until Jarom and Hilaree decided last minute to drive up to Utah that we realized we would have all 12 grandchildren together on the Brand side! The last time we tried to take a picture of all the grandchildren together was at our wedding, and even then for some reason we weren't able to convince Danny to get in the picture.

It was a busy and fun day. All of the kids played outside on the swing set while the adults ate and chatted. Norah was in heaven with so many cousins to play with.

Our little family:))

My sister Katelyn, her husband, Colton, and their cute two boys visited all the way from Florida for the week. It had been a year and a half since they last were able to visit so we were so happy to see them! It was Jack's 4th birthday and since he likes Curious George, I made him a Curious George birthday cake! I think he liked it:))

The next morning Ryan got a half day at work so we drove down to American Fork to hang out with the family! We went to lunch at the Thai Village on main street. One of our favorite places:)

We went back to the mothership and set up the brand new volleyball net in the backyard! All the boys had to test it out. Ryan was so cute helping them all play together. Noa and Braxton against Ryan, Danny, and Ollie. Pretty fair, I'd say.

The next morning Ryan surprised me with yet another half day at work!! Which meant we could drive down to American Fork together again and spend another fun afternoon with the family:)) We decided on the nickel arcade with Katelyn, Colton, their boys, and Danika!

Rocking the BYU-Idaho t-shirt as I haven't gathered the courage to break open the box of pre-pregnancy clothes just yet.

There was a little carousel with a zebra that Norah quickly became obsessed with and which also caused a crying fit when we finally had to pry her away.

We won enough tickets from the games for a couple of balls for Norah and Jack
(or "Jacket", as Norah calls him).

We had so much fun! It was a long couple of days for Norah. When we got home she made a little bed for herself on the floor while I rocked Lucy before bedtime. :))

  1. Cute pictures!! And it is so fun when family comes to town-especially a sister! Glad you got to spend so much time with them! And congrats to Lucy! She looks SOOO cute! Esp that picture of her looking up above her. Her BEAUTIFUL eyes! And you are GORGEOUS. Sheesh!

  2. I loved all of these pictures. So cute! She really does look like an angel in her dress. Also, I want and don't want to try the Thai Village place. I have for years. I worry though that I will hate it, so I'm glad to hear you love it so much. Maybe one day I'll get up the nerve to try it.
