Father's Day

I've been amazed how Ryan has taken on the responsibility of being a father over the past 18 months. Almost every night as we lay in bed before turning out the light he says how cute Norah is and how much he loves her. She is so lucky to have such an amazing daddy that loves her and takes such good care of her.
The first few moments of fatherhood

Though I'm sure that Ryan may be tired after long days at work and commuting for 40+ minutes every day, he always comes home so happy to see us and willing to play with Norah.

He is always so willing to indulge her requests of reading books over and over again.

And has the courage to brush her teeth even after being bit several times (Let me tell you, this is no small feat, it has brought tears to my eyes before)

Even this very morning, on Father's Day, Ryan let ME stay in bed while he got up to feed and play with Norah.

Norah sure loves her daddy and we are so blessed to have him in our lives

We finally did it. We moved and we never want to do it again, at least not while I'm a thousand months pregnant. After weeks of anticipating what our new home would be like I was finally able to see it Saturday night, and I love it. Ryan did a good job:)
We will not miss our unbearably squeaky floors and carpet that makes your feet go black after 5 minutes of walking around barefoot. Don't believe me? Here's some proof:

We're pretty sure this carpet hasn't been switched out since these apartments were built in the 70s.
I took a wet wipe to her feet several times during the day this was taken. She didn't seem to mind dirty feet though:)

However, we will miss our great ward, and being so close to my family. Although I love our new apartment and neighborhood, I long for familiarity. I've discovered all over again that I hate change, no matter how good it is.

35 Weeks & Counting!

We're in the last stretch before baby #2 makes her arrival and I couldn't be more ready!
This pregnancy has been fairly similar to Norah's pregnancy, although I am quite a bit more swollen this time around and I think that's mostly because of the heat--we won't mention the difference in my junk food consumption. ;)

Luckily my back pain has subsided and I'm pretty much able to keep up with my regular activities, but I am so excited to be able to sleep on my stomach again.
When I don't feel like getting dressed up (which is far too often) I rotate between 3 shirts and pairs of gym shorts, which all happen to be Ryan's. hee hee!
We are so excited for Norah to have a baby sister and we think she will do really well as she absolutely loves babies and points them out everywhere we go, even if they aren't quite babies anymore.
I'm crossing my fingers for another smooth, quick delivery and recovery! Wish us luck! :))
