5 Month Sweetheart and Other Events

Norah turned 5 months on Friday!
She has recently learned how to use her voice and squeals/screams all day for fun.
I love this girl and every one of her leg rolls:)

Janel is leaving to Alaska for the summer so she and her roommates threw a goodbye barbecue. It was so fun and Norah enjoyed the fresh air. We will miss Janel!

Ryan took Norah home to get ready for bed and let me go out to dessert and a movie with my family. Norah is smitten by his big brown eyes and dimples.

Have you been to The Roll Up Cafe in Orem? It's our new favorite place. With literally a whole nutella-filled wall and giant chocolate drizzled crepes, the Brand family is in heaven. Just watch for the big owl in front of the building.

Check out that giant dessert crepe! It was devoured within 30 seconds, including a licked-clean plate.

Update on April

Well, we did it. We made it through another semester of school. Ryan's last semester of school! It has been a crazy couple of weeks with finals, graduation, packing up our house, cleaning our apartment, visiting family in Oregon, moving to Utah, and Ryan starting work.

Here are some pictures I took of Ryan and Norah just before the graduation ceremony. She's wearing a cute little jumper Ryan's mom got from the school bookstore.

Last year we went to Ryan's cousin's graduation and it was SO long and SOOOO boring. This time around it was a little more bearable. Although Ryan's dad still preferred watching hockey.

He did it though and I am so proud of him!

The day after graduation we frantically packed everything and cleaned the apartment so we could go to Oregon with Ryan's parents and visit his brother and his family.
This was the first time all four grand kids were together so I took some pictures of the grand kids with Grandma and Grandpa!
Richard, Norah, Maisey, Gage, Miley, and Jeanne
When it came time to move, we had a few complications with our car. After a couple of hours in the shop we were finally ready to go! Although, Norah wasn't too keen on leaving Grandpa. :(

This was the best picture we got of the three of us. All ready to go!

We made it to our new apartment (which my mom had looked at for us) and convinced my dad, brothers, and their friend to help us haul everything inside.

We treated them to ice cream and inspected the apartment that would be our home for the next year!  Besides the REALLY squeaky floors and the annoyingly loud truck that drives by EVERY morning at 5 am...we like it!
It's great to be back in American Fork!

Sweet Home Alabama!

While visiting Utah this past weekend I got to see Bronte one last time before she leaves next Wednesday to the Birmingham Alabama mission!
Norah warmed right up to her:

She will be a really great missionary and I will miss her!
Good luck Bronte, and go Tide! ;)

Nature Park

It was such a beautiful day yesterday so we took Norah out to see the pond.

They don't call it nature park for nothing!
Right when we drove up there was a crowd of kids and moms around a turtle in the middle of the road. I was sad we didn't get to go see it, but then I spotted one in the pond! I wanted to steal him and keep him as a pet!

There were tons of ducks and geese sitting around. This one is making sure no one sneaks up on him while resting on one leg. Haha!

A mom and her kids were pestering this poor goose who was nesting on some eggs. She didn't sound too happy and was threatening to peck to death anyone who got too close.

Such a nice day! It was good to take a break from homework.
All is well in Rexburg:)

Happy Late Easter!

Yesterday was a busy day as we prepared for church. I finished up some last things for our sunday school lesson, took the cupcakes out of the oven and attempted to frost them (I have yet to find the secret to making frosting that doesn't look and taste like troll boogers), and took a few pictures of Norah in her Easter dress.

 Isn't she the cutest? :)

I have some bunny ears, but didn't get a chance to take pictures of her wearing them and she's asleep right now so I can't sneak in some pictures and pretend they were actually from yesterday. Oh well, I suppose we can do that next year.
It was a good day with some great talks in sacrament meeting and lots of food afterwards!
I tried to take a couple of pictures of Ryan for his graduation announcement but the sun was blaring so most of them are squinty-eyed pictures.
I did get this one though :)

We hope everyone's Easter was just lovely and filled with reflections on Christ.
All is well in Rexburg.
